So I’m here at the Silvertree hotel right on Snowmass. It’s apres ski time and I am exhausted. I think it’s a combination of the driving 4hrs yesterday and the high altitude. Anyways, Snowmass appears to be a great playground for intermediate to advance skiers. It boasts a vertical drop of 4,406 in this 3,132 acre playground. According to GPS I was able to clock 43mph during one of the runs I decided to track.

Started off Saturday with some pretty legit breakfast at Gresham followed by tailgating before the Wisconsin vs Indiana game at Memorial Stadium on a beautiful 70 and bluebird day. Alex and I left the game at 1 o’clock before be made our Journey to Louisville to see Dashboard Confessional. Finally hitting the road a 2:30, we hit 46 to catch 65 all the way down to Louisville. Alex found a perfect restaurant to eat along the Ohio River called ‘Rivue’, atop the Galt House hotel on. Eating dinner on of one of two rotating rooms, provided a gorgeous view of both Louisville and the Ohio river during the sunset. It was a little awkward when first arrived being the first ones there, it felt as we were being judged playing on our iPhones and taking pics, ha! We started off with a unique Baby Wedge Salad accompanied with hot out the oven bread follow by the Game Hen for Alex and the Chicken Baccala for myself. Skipped the dessert and went straight for the complimentary candy carts.
It was finally time to make our way to The Kentucky Center for Performing Arts, before the show began. The Louisville Orchestra began to play promptly after the clock struck 8 for about an hour until it was intermission. After the brief break, Chris Carrabba came out and opened with ‘Best Deceptions’ from album ‘The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most’, followed by ‘Get Me Right’ with the rest of the band from the new album set to release on Tuesday, ’Alter The Ending’. This was definitely a once in a life time experience to watch Dashboard Confessional play with The Louisville Orchestra. ”That. Just. Blew. My. Mind. Off.” @ChrisCarrabba tweeted shortly after the show.

Perfect Oatmeal + Tall Gingerbread Latte
I’m sitting here at Starbucks on Capitol Avenue, listening to ‘Take a Minute’ by K’naan through Etymotic ER6i headphones, eating Perfect Oatmeal, sipping on a Tall Gingerbread Latte while thinking about the rest of this year. Days like these, grey skies and rain, make me feel like curling up on the couch with the snuggie I don’t have and read a good book while…wait for it…sipping a latte of course! I am still currently trying to finish Three Cups of Tea which I am hoping to accomplish soon. It’s 11:11, kees! Anyways, I absolutely enjoy sitting on the couch around the fire at the Starbucks on Broad Ripple Avenue. I just love that cozy feeling! When I get to Colorado in December, I plan on doing that every night for one of my apres skis activity and just blog and catch up with friends on facebook and twitter. You know what sounds delicious right now? Pomme frites! mmmm. Okay, I need to stop being so random and focus, gah! I still can not get over the fact it is November. A few things I need to check off before the end of month is: find yellow ski pants, wax my skis, and create several playlists. Blah, I need to get a few things done before Bullshit 101, so until then I’m getting off. Update later? possibly.

Starbucks also tweeted yesterday that the #RedCup would be brought back for the holidays. Of course I had to go get mine and decided to stop at the Starbucks on Mass Ave. to order a Grande Vanilla Latte before class. Put it this way, thank god for Gold Cards!

#RedCup
My billing cycle finally ended as of today for the very first month of my new iPhone as my primary phone, the results…
I know AT&T loves my data usage :]
