#TGITh – Week 2/16

#TGITh = Thank God It’s Thursday,
Week 2 of 16 is over for the school year. I’m really digging these 4 day week / 3 day weekends. In addition to these short weeks I am also enjoying 8am classes, something which most people dread.  I feel like I have the whole day to do whatever I want rather than scheduling classes later in the day.  It gives me a ability to put in a lot of hours at work.  Anyways, tonight was the season finale of Jersey Shore.   I’m not going to lie, I find that show pretty good because it’s so dumb you have to watch it.  Also, Grey’s Anatomy was on tonight and that’s all full of drama much like Jersey Shore, ha!

Plans for this weekend include visting Alex in Bloomington and skiing Paoli Peaks for the first time.

Back in Indy

Well I’m finally back from Copper Mountain after nearly 2 weeks in Denver.  I’ll let the pictures do the talking until I find time to write about it.

Copper Mountain

Yes, yes I know I was in Colorado just 4 days ago, but I’m flying back out to Denver to ski Copper Mountain until the 4th.  Although Summit county seem to be lacking of some snow compared to previous seasons, it should no doubt be a great time.   I probably won’t update again until I get back but there is a slight possibility of a mid-week update.

Snowmass

So I’m here at the Silvertree hotel right on Snowmass. It’s apres ski time and I am exhausted. I think it’s a combination of the driving 4hrs yesterday and the high altitude. Anyways, Snowmass appears to be a great playground for intermediate to advance skiers. It boasts a vertical drop of 4,406 in this 3,132 acre playground. According to GPS I was able to clock 43mph during one of the runs I decided to track.

Aspen

I’m sitting at Indianapolis International Airport, about to board Southwest Flight 23 to Denver International Airport to ski Aspen Snowmass until the 25th. Snowmass, Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands, and Aspen Mountain (Ajax) are on the list of places to hit. Hopefully TSA doesn’t lose my bags! Update when I land.

Thursday, December 10, 2009

Well I’ve taken one of my long breaks again from blogging… well actually I’ve just been lazy/busy to update it. Perfect North Slopes opened yesterday at noon, somewhat of a late start than previous years. I’m am excited that ski season has officially begun for me and hope to get out tonight! Next week is the last week of the semester which I am sure glad will be over. The past two weeks I’ve done nothing but write papers which I still have three more including a speech that’s separating me from now until next Friday. The rest of the month is going to huge for me. Sunday, December 20th I plan to leave for Michigan to ski Boyne Highlands and Nub’s Nob until the 24th. After that I’m off to Denver on the 29th to ski Copper Mountain until January 4th!!!
